What Guests Can Expect On Our Astoria Walking Food Tour

Just a short subway ride from Manhattan, Astoria is a vibrant and unique neighborhood in Queens. It’s a cool and appealing spot, celebrated for its cultural diversity and its rich array of delicious, eclectic food options from authentic Greek cuisine to Middle Eastern fare. It’s a melting pot of cultures, and that’s not a cooking metaphor. We walk through Little Greece or “Greektown,” where the food, people, churches and entire vibe make you feel like you’re walking the streets of Greece — not Queens. Within steps, we make our way to “Little Egypt” where we walk by various Middle Eastern businesses and sample cuisine from the region. Residents from various South and Central American countries are also represented in Astoria, and our food palate takes full advantage.

Yes, Astoria stands out as a gem in Peter Parker’s hometown, offering a rich cultural experience, a friendly community, historic architecture, numerous green spaces, and a diverse culinary landscape that makes it a must-visit destination.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much food do I get?

More than enough for lunch. You will be full by the end of the tour. Unless you’re that Man Vs Food guy.

Are you crazy?! Of course it is! But seriously, all your food is included in the cost of your ticket. Feel free to buy extra along the way, although you’ll probably want to save it for later because you’ll be full of what we give you.

We will do our best to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions, and many of our stops are experienced in handling a variety of needs. However, we cannot guarantee that all stops will be able to accommodate specific allergies, as some menu items may contain allergens or be prepared in environments with a risk of cross-contamination. If you have an allergy, please let us know when you book so we can communicate with our partners and explore available options. For severe or life-threatening allergies, we recommend exercising caution.

There is no tip included for your guide, but 15-20% is customary. This is, of course, if you have a good time, which we guarantee!

Yes. You bet!

Dress is casual and weather appropriate. Wear comfortable shoes; remember it’s a walking food tour. Bring an umbrella if needed.

I know you’re not really asking this, but I just wanted to put it on here. Please be 10-15 minutes early!

Although cash is king, we ask that you buy a ticket via credit card.

Naps are awesome! But this tour is better. We started Nice Guy Tours because New Yorkers have a bit of a rude reputation, and we are trying to crush that stereotype one tour at a time. Buy a ticket; you won’t regret it. We make three promises: you’ll have fun, you’ll learn something, and you’ll leave full.
